What is Key Club?
Key Club is the largest and oldest, international, non-profit, student-led, service program, for teens, which provides its members with opportunities to build character and develop leadership through service. We teach and spread our core values: caring, character-building, inclusiveness, and leadership, via community service. Key Club has approximately 270,000 members, 5,000 clubs, and are represented in 38 nations. No two Key Clubs are alike, each is an independent entity, designed for and by its members.

What do you do in Key Club?
Key Club provides you the opportunity to serve others through service. You gain valuable experiences, build-character, develop initiative, and leadership skills by serving your school and community.
How do I join?
To join Key Club, fill out our San Lorenzo Membership Form that's in our linktree, join our Remind, follow us on our Instagram, and attend our general meetings and service events.
What are membership dues?
Membership dues are fees that every Key Club member needs to pay in order to receive their official membership which is renewed every new term. These dues keep our club up and running as well as providing you many benefits:
- Kiwanis International purchases liability insurance for your home club, therefore when you pay dues, you are guaranteed to be financially protected from the possible risks that may arise in any club event/ project.
- You can qualify for District Awards & Scholarships.
- You are open to the opportunity to run for officer positions.
- The money helps out your home club, our District, and Key Club International.
- You are provided the opportunity to attend major events such as the District Convention.
How much are membership dues?
Key Club International’s annual dues are $7.00. Alongside, the district charges $4.50. Overall, dues are $11.50 per member (but prices may vary from club to club).
The $7.00 are for the membership card & pin, administrative budget, the international officers and board, etc. The $4.50 are for the administrative budget, district officers and board, committee budgets, senior scholarships, etc.
San Lorenzo will now accept $12.00 dues payment at the Student Body Finance Office (contact Ms.Shelly) or directly to our faculty advisor (Mr.Giang) at C-11 for dues payment.

What does K-E-Y mean?
K-E-Y is an acronym for Kiwanis Educating Youth.
How can I get hours?
Key Club is the opportunity to give back to your community through service and fundraisers. Key Club has monthly division council meetings, division-wide service events, and many annual events including Fall Rally North and District Convention but our foucs is how we can lead and volunteer in our community! Join our google classroom, attend meetings and events for hours and more information!
