Key Club International
Key Club is the largest and oldest student-led service organization, for high school students, which strive to change the lives of many via service. Key Club promotes service while members ultimately gain leadership skills, character building, and the ability to better oneself through the service provided to their homes, schools, and communities. Key Club International started in Sacramento with just 11 charters. The club was compromised of key boys in the school, willing to serve their school in any way possible. The club that started as a vocational guidance program soon progressed into an international program that we now know as, Key Club International. Members know that Key Club isn't only service but "Caring - Our way of Life." There are over 5,000 clubs around the world and no two are alike. With thousands of clubs in over 38 countries, Key Club and their members help shape the next generation of leaders while building stronger communities.

California-Nevada-Hawaii (CNH) District
The establishment expedition of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District began in Sacramento, California in 1924, when California was suffering from destructive clubs and fraternities that exercised a negative influence amongst the student population. Teachers and community leaders of Sacramento High feared the detrimental influence of these clubs and fraternities and sought a means of replacing the negative influence provided by these groups with wholesome youth activities. Therefore, Mr. John Dale, the principal of Sacramento High School and Mr. Frank Vincent, a faculty member, thought that their school needed an organization of students who discouraged delinquency by leading through good examples. By 1939, about 50 clubs were chartered. The first 5 clubs officially chartered by Key Club International were at Sacramento, Monterey, Oakland Technical, Hemet, and Stockton (now Edison) High Schools.
In 1947 of October, all Key and Kiwanis Clubs in California were incited to hold a conference in San Diego where it was decided that a district should be assembled, hence, the California-Nevada District was formed. In 1952, the California-Nevada District converted to the California-Nevada-Hawaii District when McKinley High School Key Club was established in Hawaii. The first edition of CNH Key appeared on May 1, 1954. At present, CNH has over 45,000 Key Club Members from 736 clubs in 18 regions, and 74 divisions.
